Hi Dan,
Unfortunate for me, your reply is based on a single out-of-context message that
went to VHFcontesting@contesting.com.  My *original* communication (and all of
the followup stuff clarifying things) never went to that list...only to
VHF@w6yx.stanford.edu.  Someone took my message -- out of context -- and
contientously inserted the VHFcontesting@... receipt address.

While I'm disappointed that happened, I need to be clear that, for the
record...I do not disagree with your assessment of eham.net.  It is a fine site
that addresses aspects of the hobby that are ignored by most others.
