A guy is now advertising 7 sections of R45 plus a top section for $750. Can you
do your extended Universal for significantly less than $750? Seems to me, given
the safety issue and given the design specs of the Rohn, any cost-benefit
analysis would have to significantly discount from that $750 to be worthwhile.

Steel tower weighs a lot more than aluminum and
being only 18 inches is less stiff, hence
requires multiple pull cables to tilt up, which
requires a falling derrick. R45 would require
three levels of guying, versus one level for
my aluminum towers.
