[TowerTalk] VHF 4 Bay Dipole Pattern

I am setting up a VHF base to be used for a Disaster Relief effort.  I have
located a 4 -Bay Dipole array.  I vaguely remember that the pattern of this
style antenna can be adjusted by where around the mast the dipoles are
placed.  I have exhausted my old antenna books and my friend Google did not
reveal any information. Can anybody point me to a reference?
