I didn't know there were two different versions of the 8 pin DIN plug,
so that's something new I learned today.
Universal Radio at
http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/parts/dinconn.html
has one with a 270 degree spread for $3.29 and one which they call the
Kenwood type with a 262 degree spread for $5.99.
Another website at
http://www.showmecables.com/showproducts.asp?category_id=357 also shows
both of them, and again the 262 degree version is more expensive.
With only an 8 degree difference in pin spread I think it would be
nearly impossible to tell them apart without actually trying to insert
them in the jack. The question is which one does Yaesu use?
