Dear Colleagues,
I must admit I was shocked to learn that the FCC really went through
with dropping the CW requirment, even for an Extra Class license.
Next will be a reduction to only two license classes:
1. A.A. - Amateur Amateur (first year licensed) and
2. O.A. - Oldtime Amateur (all the rest of 'em)
You can be sure the equipment manufacturers are elated (at their
victory) as they enter the Christmas Season this year.
