Not to be overlooked is that there is much information and experiences
about BOGs in the searchable archives here.
I see folks asking about various other subjects, and the replies are often
not near as useful as what was previously answered. That link at the bottom
of this and every post here is our friend! :-)
I suggest starting by entering BOG K2AV in the search box there. What you
find useful, post a link to it here.
I agree that a 300' BOG —laid directly on the earth, not resting on grass
or weeds— is usually too long for 160m.
