The N2PK design is a well-regarded piece of kit, and I built one about 4
years ago. It compared very well with the HP 8753 VNA I had on my bench at
work back before I retired. It has a very enthusiastic following worldwide,
surprising for something that is only available as a fairly complicated DIY
effort.
Having said that, this chinese design has been the subject of some
discussion and controversy on the N2PK Group. The fellow apparently has
taken the earlier single-detector design - it has been dual-detector for at
least 4 years - and used some different parts from the recommended parts
list. It does not have the blessing of Paul, N2PK, but I don't believe he
has outright condemned the effort. I have not seen anyone do a critical
review of it yet. At this point, I would say "buyer beware".
