It is amazing that a 66' long counterpoise can be effective on 160m. I put one in the woods at this condo location in NH yesterday and heard an SM, G6 and W9 and W0 stations on it last night and the SWR is low at 1.1:1 on 1.824 MHz. Conditions were not good enough to be heard with my K2 at 5 watt signal though. It's an interesting way to get on 160m from a small lot and I would say worth the effort thanks to designer Guy, K2AV.
