Planning on putting up 880 footers. One for NE/SW and the other NW/ SE.
I'm not planning on using relays etc for these, just planning on running
two wires parallel to each other for the 880 feet with the usual xfrmr on
one
end and a terminating resistor on the end for each parallel Beverage.
They will be approximately 10 feet above the ground. What is the minimum
spacing required between the parallel wires for good performance? Can
they be
spaced above each other ...perhaps a foot apart? Ideas?

Bill,
For a bi-directional Beverage, the termination resistor does not go at the
far end, regardless of whether you feed it with one coax or two. A
reflection transformer goes at the far end, and two other transformers go
at the feed end.
They can be put one above the other, but I would not do it at a 12"
spacing
as it could cause unbalance and a degraded F/B ratio. We have an

Works OK for me as well! Although mine needs 1600pF and I use little
ceramic capacitors rated at 6.3KV, which are readily available from
CPC/Farnell at about 10p each.

final results:
Vert lgth: 55 ft
Total lgth: 137.5 ft
C-P wires (4 @ 9' high): 135 ft long
Shunt capacitor: 3 ea 500uuf doorknobs - 1500uuf total

2:1 SWR points: 1.800 mhz/1.841mhz

Had been having a weird buzzing noise on the band - which should up on the
panadapter with wavy bands of noise moving around in frequency. The noise
blanker would but it down pretty well (on my Elecraft K3) - but this was
new.
It was loudest when the TX antenna was pointing back to the house.
Had an old transistor radio laying around - so walked around the house and
after a few minutes - found it was a small fluorescent lamp we have in the
kitchen above the stove. I turned it off - and the noise stopped. Turned
it back on and it wouldn't light up!! Obviously - it was starting to fail
somehow.
Thought I would share in case someone else happens to be dealing with a
similar issue.

Hi all.
I currently live in a city of average size but quite industrialized.
Also very close, about 1km (3 miles), a AM broadcast station 882khz with
10kw.
My currently rig is an IC-756PRO3, and noise in 80 and 160m is 9/9 +10.
To RX, I use a loop (kc2tx) plus a preamplifier (w7iuv) and a bandpass
filter.
I'm thinking of changing my actual rig and acquire one that is more immune
to city noise and intermodulation of BCB.
My first choice is a K3, but first I would like to ask a question ...
Will I get to improve my reception (on low bands) with this rig ?
