Jacek log is updated but doesn't include yesterday QSOs...
He is very tired , making and tuning antennas alone is not easy additionally
temperatures are very high and humidity too.
He has problems with sleeping during a day because of the weather and
...lots of singing birds.. so sometimes he has to stop before SR in the West
Coast
to have a few hours of sleep before EU SS.
Last 3 days he had heavy rain with lighting mostly during openings to US , so
TB was very
difficult. So far ( without yesterday QSOs) he has 190 QSOs on 160m and quite a
few
with Europe !
Pigeon Island is very small ..80m X 200m and even he was trying to build HI-Z
4sq
it was impossible...one of elements would be 1 meter from TX vertical.
He has serious noise from thyristor converters 24/220 V and has to use NB all
the time
what distors weak signals.
Tomorrow or after tomorrow Jacek will try to erect 80m antenna but it will very
close
to 160m vertical and he is not sure how they will be working.
