Not to extend the thread, but I've found that certain plastic bottles are a lot huskier than regular pop bottles: here, 1 liter "Polar" brand refreshments have a pretty husky bottle, and last much longer than plain pop bottles. Same is true of plastic bags. I always keep an eye out for heavy duty stuff. I use a lawn product bag to cover the winch in the tower, and has proved indestructible over the years.
