Hello Fellow Top Banders,

Does anyone have an opinion as to which of two antennas would be more
efficient, assuming the same ground system (8 elevated radials) :

1. 60 Foot Base Loaded Tapered Aluminum Vertical (3" - 3/4") with a
base loading coil (Air Core/8" in diameter) made of 1/4" copper tubing
with turns spaced about 1/4" apart; or,

2. A helically wound vertical, a la the recent QST article?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

73,

Bob/AA6VB
