Anyway, my sun was still over 2 hours from sunset, being 30+ degrees up in
the sky...
The band was very quiet and the signals were right at the noise level but
Q5... I'm not sure how the signals got here - ducting above the D layer?

Thanks Denny! Yesterday seemed to be one of those days at the dip of the
sunpot cycle when we get that kind of propagation - was also hearing P29NI
which in itself very unusual from G unless condx exceptional.
Last sunspot dip we were working KL7 stations several hours into daylight,
but have not been favoured with such propagation since! Perhaps this
daylight propagation is more usual for stations in northern latitudes eg
SM2, UA0, VE that have a longer greyline?
