The MFJ is a fine device *but* the problems I experienced during my 
stint in Tanzania were not helped much by it.  The MFJ-1026 will do a 
great job of nulling power line noise coming from a single direction.
My problem in Dar es Salaam is that there was power line noise coming 
from a number of directions.  The 1026 was of little help in that case.

Ralph 5H3RK was only about a half-mile away from me but he lived in an 
area which was much quieter.  He heard DX stations much better than I did.
