Jos, ON4KJ suggested the perfect solution: hire a snake charmer with a
flute. Just toodle that snake right up there and tie off the guys.

Regarding Dave's question on the K8UR style of array. Read the
Jan/Feb 2004 QEX article on this kind of array (page 32). There is a
high electric field directly under the bottom of the array but that
drops off pretty quickly as you go away from the base. A ground
screen under that part of the array will help a bit. Nothing
earthshaking however.
