I have a similar question to K3SV - I'm planning on some 800 footers but mine go across open fields. How would 14 ga aluminum fence wire work? It seems cheaper than the copper THHN but better conductivity than the galvanized steel stuff. Branches on it are not a problem, nor are deer (unless they jump up 8 feet).
