I agree Tom.  I would question however if such a receiver is actually 
available at all, if you consider severe cases of strong signals.  I have 
yet to find a commercially available receiver, or published mods resulting 
in a modified commercial receiver, that is not subject to desensing when 
subjected to the occasional S9+60dB signals 5Khz up the band that are 
present at this QTH.
