Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I'm sure many of you have worked Chris A71CW and wondered what he was
using to produce such a consistently fine signal from a relatively
difficult area for propagation to the North America. Here's the story:
73, Bill W4ZV
>Bill!
>
>My antenna is just low cost home made vertical.
>Total 24m long. First 2 times 5m aluminium pipes, then 4m windsurfing
>fiberglass and then 10m fishing rod fiberglass. 4 wires attached to
>fiberglass. Everything is elevated 6m over the ground just on the side wall
>of my house. Space is very limited so I have only about 16 radials
>from 10m to 30m long.
>Loaded with serial coil at the bottom with 50 ohm coax connected to
>the tap.
>Same antenna I am using on 80m just feeded directly without a coil.
>That's all
>
>73! Chris
