Remove the filter, and jumper the correct 2 pins with a disc ceramic cap
temporarily. Of course, be sure you aren't jumping the 2 ground pins. Those
filters are getting pretty long in the tooth....might be she went toes up.Greg

I have a newly acquired Orion 1.  The filter board is loaded.  The  optional
filters were not enabled in the menu.  When Inenabled them, the radio would go
nearly dead when the 500 Hz filter was switched in.  I tried another filter and
got the same result.  Then I did a full reset.  Problem still existed.

There are diodes on the input and output of the filter.  There also appears to
be a matching network.  I am suspecting the diodes.  Have any of you seen this
type of failure or symptom.    What was the remedy?  I am guessing they are SMT
components on the bottom of the board.  Is the FILTER BOARD hard to remove?
