The AL-80x is a full legal power amp in most European countries, but not in
the states.
One of these years I plan to install a pair of vac-relays in one of mine and
dump all of my external time sequencing.

The Elecraft KPA500 is full QSK (diode switched, 600W out into a matched
load) sells for $2,100 as a kit, $200 more built, and it covers 160M - 6M.
The build is so easy that it's dumb to buy it built unless you have some
sort of handicap that prevents you from screwing parts of a chassis together
and plugging boards together.
