From Reference Data for Radio Engineers, the resistance on no. 18 
copper wire is 0.6385 ohms per 100 feet, NOT some 8 ohms!  The copper 
wire resistance tables are given per 1000 feet of wire; and a common 
error is to think of Coax loss tables which are loss per ONE HUNDRED feet.
