The suggestions about trying a different cable and a different downloaded
copy of the firmware are good. I use a USB-Serial converter cable with
Windows7 and have had no problems.

If I just leave it alone without answering the questions or touching the
radio, it will cycle itself through the SYSTEM LOADING page, followed by the
questiions over and over.
