The Centurion is not rated for continuous full power operation for extended
periods on RTTY, AM, and some other data modes. Short durations only, or you
should reduce your exciter power appropriately. If you were running full power
for a long RTTY transmission, you probably saw the plates getting cherry red,
but after that there's no telling what you fried.
