Let me add that if you use N4PY software in addition to integrated logging
software, whether you use a generator or battery, you have alot more
flexibility in that you'd use the monitor interface when the sunlight was
blotting out the radio's LCD readout. With bandpass filters for blocking
other nearby transmitters it would be a hard combo to beat in footprint and
versatility.
