Tim,

If you have a software progran that can do a spectrum analysis or waterfall
display (lots of the freeware PSK programs will do a waterfall), run the
audio output from your radio to a soundcard. You should be able to see some
change in the audio (even just the background noise) when you engage
different filters or move the PBT control. If you don't have a dedicated
radio computer interface, you can just hook up a cable from the audio out
phono jack or the speaker out of the Omni to the soundcard temporarily for
the test.
