Another consideration seems to be the use of an internal power supply for
transport purposes. Perhaps it's easier to ship a radio with an internal
supply, despite the fact it's a heavier single package rather than something
like an Omni Six or FT-1000MP MKV which requires two lighter packages?
I think Reid is correct: Considering the overall cost of most exotic
DXpeditions, there must be a tendency to take any donation you can get.
