Dan/Mike/All,

The 602 is also a nice addition for expanding your transmitt (SSB of course)
capability. The 602 has 48V phantom power for powering large diaphram
condenser mics, built in eq, etc. Grant it, it's only a three band graphic
eq, but still does a nice job. You can make a $.99 mic sound good with the
602 mixer. Remember though, if you're gonna use it for xmit, be very careful
of the output level, which is at line level, not mic level. Build yourself
an attenuator, 40-60 db or so, to pad the output of the mixer which you can
build out of a couple resistors and stick it in the 1/4 inch connector at
the output of the mixer.

Dan, for your info, I got my 602 at the Guitar Center in Torrance over a
year ago when they first became available for $79. Typically the average
price for a 602 now is $99-119.

Jay/KM6VX
Torrance, Ca.
