Well, sure enough, pilot error. All is well. NOTE to other forgetful
guys like me: if you use the Herc II (or other Ten Tec amp with TX EN / TX
OUT connections) you need to rejumper the connectors on the back of the
rig to use it without the amp.
All is fine now, and the audio change is really fine. I think that I
improved it even more by replacing a wrong resistor on the board :-) .
