Hi Jim:
TenTec is referring to "deep cycle marine batteries". These can bought
at Wal-Mart. Personally, if you don't want to invest in the power
supply, I would recommend a tube type amplifier such as the Centaur
unless you just want battery power for some reason. Batteries have
several down sides like safety considerations, leaks, fumes, aging and
you'll never have 13.8v for full output either. 73
