I just have a curiosity type question.
Being the proud owner of an Omni VI+, I have noticed one big problem with
the unit. If I want to get some additional functionality out of the
computer interface, I am met with deaf ears at Ten-Tec. I ASSUME that the
person or persons responsible for that interface have long since moved on
to other areas, and, in doing so have caused the interface technology to
stagnate. It is sad, but seems to be true. I would love to have direct
access to ALL of the functions of the computer from my PC.
I was wondering if anyone has heard any sort of commitment from TT as to
the software for the Pegasus. Is it an open system? Are source code, or
even examples available? Do they give you the ability to write your own
code to control the rig in ways they never thought of, or, are we reliant
on TT to come up with all the great ideas for the rig? Just curious, it
looks like a great unit to have, but, I am now a little gun shy of anyone
that tells me I cant get in and mess with the code... It would be like
welding the unit shut, and telling you not to peek inside...
