Hi Jim:
The "built-in" keyer in the OMNI-6 is a basic, dot-dash keyer.
It does have the ability to change modes, but is just designed
for basic cw use, and works well for that purpose. Has no
special memories or functions, so most guys use their
own favorite keyer.
My particular built-in keyer drives me nuts when I use it, as it
tends to change speeds a couple of wpm, as the microprocessor
does other functions. My old fist has enough trouble working
well without any other handicaps added by the keyer, so - I
use one of about a dozen keyers that I have, depending on my
mood.
I suspect that mine is not the only one that does that, although I have
never heard anyone else make the complaint.
At any rate, it is a perfectly acceptable keyer for casual operation.

Hi All:=20
How would you compare the built-in keyer on the Omni VI+ to the =
LogiKey? Do any of the keyers excel at speeds below 30 wpm?
