[SECC] Last Weekend's Contests

Hello folks:

All I could find to work for a contest this past weekend was the RAEM
contest, which runs during our nightime and requires exchange of QSO
numbers and location by way of longitude and latitude. The
abbreviations are in Germany, so that East is abbreviated as "O", but
the others N, W, S are the same as in English. Surprisingly, there was
no activity on 40 M in the General Class band before I went to bed, but
there was some on 80. I worked RK2FWA and M0SDX, plus three
statesiders, K1TTT, WB2AA, and AA3B. I also heard and called, but could
not work YL0A and LY4CW. There were a few other Europeans too weak to
identify and some additional activity, but not much, in the Extra class
band.

Result:

K4BAI SOSB80HP 5 QSOs, 250 QSO points, 291 coordinate difference points
= final score of 541. 0.7 hour. Woke up in the middle of the night and
considered checking in for European sunrise, but it was too cold to get
out of bed.

Hope everyone has a nice week. I will be in Valdosta Tuesday and
Wednesday and hope to see W4BQF there.

73,

John, K4BAI.
