Careful what you say about West Virginia. You've got fellow SECCErs who
pretty much grew up there.
| Unlike Dan, who also claims Ohio as home, I was transplanted there.

So is most of West Virginia. OTOH, WV took advantage of the "Northern
War of Aggression" to break off from Virginia and form a separate state
belonging to the Union. Come to think of it, wasn't DC distinctly
Union, being the capital of it?
Though I'll have to admit I'm not West Virginian by birth, having been
born in neighboring (you guessed it) Columbus, OH. I guess that makes
me a Mid-Westerner. It was my two younger brothers (including our
esteemed secretary), however, who went and got themselves born in New
Jersey - distinctly Yankee territory.
