The New England QSO Party is now a big deal.

Mother's Day is a bad conflict, especially if our contesr runs on 
Sunday.  If just on Saturday, it is not so bad.  We ran it on Mother's 
Day fairly successfully in the 1960s and 1970s, but we always heard a 
lot of complaints and many who would otherwise have participated did not 
for that reason.
