Using multiple names from the same station is crazy and should probably be
eliminated from the rules. One thing that I try hard to
do is to verify that I have every single contact correct before I log it. So
if I work a station with one name, then work them
again on another band with another name, I am killing myself trying to
determine if I made a mistake the first time or if the
station is M2. Sometimes I'll even ask if they are using different names
although I didn't do that this time. I don't recall any
station sending different names. W6YX sent JOHN on all FIVE bands!
M2 stations should have to stick to one name or should do it on their own. It
drives the rest of us crazy!!!

Gordon,
I can understand the confusion over using different names in Multi-2
situation. I've run across that myself from time to time.
Maybe it's just the way my brain is wired, but when I see BAMBI printed on the
screen my mind strays off into images of sandy
beaches, cold beer and hot blondes.
When you live all winter long with Alaska's long nights that's easy to do!
Maybe a simple JOE would do the trick. It's shorter and somehow I don't see
myself fantasizing about being on a warm beach with
JOE.
