Subject: [RTTY] Baudot
Keep in mind, Baudot is not like ASCII or other digital codes. Numbers,
dashes and slashes do not have unique codes, they are 'shifted' characters.
Use dashes (no spaces) between groups of numbers to keep from having to
send the FIGS again after each space.

I do that the first time around, e.g. for serial number 255-255, but if I'm
asked for a repeat in poor conditions, it will have spaces between the
numbers to ENSURE that the FIGS character gets repeated in case it missed
the first time due to conditions, e.g. 255 255 255.
