Jim is dead on right... I replaced all wall warts used in my ham
station with a single known quiet SMPS. The difference was very visible
to me on my K3.
Most of what I did to the station is detailed here; https://www.nk7z.net/rebuilding-the-shack/ That article is part of a general multi part set of articles located here: https://www.nk7z.net/category/info/rfi-mitigation/constructing-a-shack-for-minimal-rfi-from-the-ground-up/ Jim, K9YC, has a paper on how to quiet down your shack located here: http://audiosystemsgroup.com/KillingReceiveNoise.pdfIf you read noting else, read Jim's paper on this... It is full of good ideas. 73s and thanks, Dave NK7Z https://www.nk7z.net _______________________________________________ RFI mailing list RFI@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rfi |
