AM radio? The FCC has given them permission to raise transmitted power to
overcome the RF fog. That is the solution pushed by FCC at present. Of
course, the BC broadcasters aren't going there because more RF power
equates to more $$ spent on supplying raw AC power from the grid. When the
RF fog gets so bad that the FAA, public service, and military start
complaining, then, just maybe, something will be done.
The effort started by Dave, NK7Z to bring all this together with strong
evidence is a great step forward, but contributions are needed in real,
rigorously measured and documented data. It's the best start in at least
bringing the problem to light that I can think of. Read my report on the
plasma TV we once owned. It's all there. We need more of this!!!!!
