Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jun 27 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2715 (N07W67, Axx/alpha) decayed further and managed only low-level B-class flares. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low all three days, with a slight chance for C-class flares on day one (27 Jun).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to high levels with a maximum flux of 2,672 pfu at 26/2110 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at moderate to high levels on day one (27 Jun) and increase to high levels on days two and three (28-29 Jun) due to CH HSS effects. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels all three days.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were consistent with CH HSS influences. Total field strength gradually decreased from 11 to 4 nT. The Bz component was variable with no prolonged periods of southward orientation. Solar wind increased to a maximum of near 600 km/s. The phi angle was negative.

Forecast: Elevated solar wind speed is expected to continue all three days (27-29 Jun) as CH HSS influences continue.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels due to CH HSS effects.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to active, with a likely period of early G1 storm conditions on days one and two (27-28 Jun) due to CH HSS effects. The geomagnetic field is expected to react at quiet to active levels on day three (29 Jun) as CH HSS influences weaken.
