All I really want is to not have to manually restart my AP when I have a retransmit-related interface hang on my existing 4.xx series. Of all the new things we can do, look forward to, etc. etc. that's all I want.

QoS for VoIP is important

All, I have inserted the response from Terabeam CEO addressing your concerns.

Thanks

Gentlemen:

I am writing to you because I was forwarded an on-line thread in which you were expressing concern over how things are being run at KarlNet since its recent merger with YDI (now called Terabeam Wireless).

I am Robert Fitzgerald, the CEO of Terabeam and I can be reached at the e-mail address above or by phone at 703-205-0600 and I will try to address some of your concerns. I want to thank you for your continued loyalty and support through the years, and especially over the last five months. I recognize the difficulty and uncertainty that you have experienced recently and we extend our apologies, but moreover, recognize that faithful and immediate action is required to rebuild our relationship.

First, be assured that we are not killing TurboCell. KarlNet's big competitive advantage is TurboCell and the enhanced benefits of TurboCell. Why would we kill it? I can tell you that there was never any thought of killing TurboCell within this organization. We did stop selling board only/software solutions for a while, but due to customer demand, we have brought them back. We are introducing a low cost TurboCell CPE and once widely available, I am hoping that people will no longer require board only solutions since they are difficult to support and often the end customer's final solution isn't as good as it could be.

We will be phasing out certain board configurations from the KarlNet Boards.

This is being done for one or both of two reasons 1. Component obsolescence precludes us from continuing production of that board or 2. We can build faster and more powerful boards with improving technology.

We did have some brief internal confusion regarding how we went to market and I apologize for that. We are now organized and want to serve you as we did in the past, both technically and professionally. In short, we can get back to business as it used to be. Your sales contact will be either Doug Harman or Sean Monahan who can facilitate your orders. Our support staff is

ready to serve you.

As an update, over the past few months we have made enhancements to our product line. Currently, we have a limited amount of KN-105 and KN-205 boards in stock, which utilize the PCM/CIA 802.11b radios.

We have the new KN-150 board, which provide the same functionality as the KN-105 board, but operate with an Agere Hermes II or Atheros mini PCI radio.

It supports 2.4, 5.8, or the 4.9GHz frequency. It is also backwards compatible with the older 802.11b radios.

The KN-50 boards are also available. Based on the requests of customers, you

will soon be able to use the standard configurator program to setup this board.

We also have a full line of 'Backhaul' products from a 45Mbps full duplex to 1.25Gbps units.

Again, I would like to extend our gratitude for your support and business over the years and we look forward to providing you with the highest level of service. Please contact Doug, Sean or myself at your earliest convenience

to talk about how we can work together in the future or if you have any questions about the future of our company or our products.

Sincerely,

Robert Fitzgerald

Terabeam , CEO
