Bill,
Actually, one can use your 3rd technique right from start-up. If you hit F8 as
the PC is cold-booting, just as the "Starting Windows 95/98" msg appears, you
can get into DOS without ever having to endure the agony of loading WIN95/98.
You can create a small .bat file gthat will get read on startup of CT that will
load the COMTSR1, etc. Batch files are easy to make.
