I was not reading this list for a while..... and nothing changed ...

But let me give my 2 cents

Online Contest scoreboard is the best thing what we could have to promote
contesting in general

Being E7DX as SO or MO fighting for EU TOP scores with other SO or MO
Being recently D4DX and finishing 1st WW in SOAB WW DX CW
and watching this live is one of most exciting things (Beside pileup it self)
you can experience in contest.

Being top score station is actually our duty against whole community to post
our scores.
There are many of OM´s sometimes not active in contest watching our scores and
enjoying this!
This attracts simple more people into contest, even they don´t operate. It is
kind of watching formula 1 race ....

I got so much positive feedback around the globe about posting on live scores
and of course about "fights" there.
And I will always push the people to do it.

Yes it is more transparent
Yes it is more fun
Yes it push you more
Yes it is good for community

I watching it always as much I can, even in last CQWW CW where I was very busy
operating 2BISQ from D4DX I had sometimes one eye on scoreboard.

There is nothing to hide and in best case some of operators can learn something
from you. It can be (it is) inspiration for others.
No serious competitor, have time to analyses other posts to get some advantage
and if so...he (they) still needs to make QSOs...and that´s not possible
without good location,
antennas, equipment and of course operators skills.

Nowadays even most remote places does have internet ( in normal conditions) and
there is no excuse not to post especially when you fight in Top 10

Of course you can be ignorant and do your thing, finding a million other
reasons not to do it...

We have prepared a stats report on COSB usage during the last CQ WW CW at
https://blog.contestonlinescore.com/cosb-usage-reports-during-cq-ww-cw-2024/
. That might be interesting.

We've also found some guys claiming that using scoreboards distractive. We have
prepared a few tips how to avoid that at
https://blog.contestonlinescore.com/is-using-a-scoreboard-distractive/
