The "DX Window" on 160 is really a relic of very old times when split frequency was not only the norm but the necessity for almost all DX Qs. That time passed 30+ years ago. The "worst place" to find DX in this past weekend's contest was in the DX Window. The "real" DX Window right now is 1800 - 1810. USA and VE can transmit and EU and PAC cannot. I never understood why that isn't used better especially in SSB contests.
