Unfortunately, we cannot just suppose all 'good people' observe the rules.
Look to this case from CQWW SSB 2011:
A newbee contester got excited by driving a big station for very first
time. He decided to share the experience in details on public e-mail
reflector (http://tinyurl.com/o9ozwcy). For no Spanish spoken, he
wrote that they were running 2.5kW and that station will been prepared
to put 4kW+ next time because coax loss.
Even after receive this public declaration coming from an INSIDER
OPERATOR about rules violation, CQWW took no actions. They NEVER
contacted any of team members or the station owner asking for
explanations, instead, they sent a shinning PLAQUE for great team
achievement of #1 in SA.
I bet this behavior was not a isolate episode. Once you taste the
dark-side of the power and you are rewarded by sponsors, Legal Limit
is not enough any more.
Yes, It's a shame, but it true!
