Answers to Paul EI5DI's comments:
1) No it doesn't, if the remote station is set up and all antennas, etc. are
within the 500-meter rule, then it is OK.
2) No it doesn't, all RF is "ON THE AIR" using real RF and radio spectrum
between the two communicating stations. (I would guess that if I sent RF
through my internet connection, the Internet ISP might be replacing my
modem, wireless router, etc?) I guess I could try and disconnect the coax
cable from the modem and put it on the rig as an antenna and load it up. I
wonder how that would work, it is a coax cable right?
3) It is nice to see your definition of amateur radio, it sure differs from
mine. Mine is the same as this one I found on the internet:

which participants, called "hams," use various types of radio communications
equipment to communicate with other radio amateurs for public services,
recreation and self-training.
Paul K2DB (99.9%) remote operation. If you work K2DB, you most likely worked
a "remote" station, and you never even knew it. If you worked K2DB in a CW
or RTTY contest, and you don't believe it is a valid QSO, then take me out
of your log, that is really simple. You worked K2DB in Macomb, NY, ARRL NNY
Section, Grid Square FN24, St. Lawrence County. If you look me up on
QRZ.com, you will see I am licensed in Fairport, NY, ARRL WNY Section, Grid
Square FN13, Monroe County. I do NOT operate from there, never!
The only equipment I have at home is a 2 meter FM mobile, TS-440S Mobile
rig in my van. Nothing, in my condo, as I am antenna restricted here,
severely restricted. If you hear me on CW as K2DB/m then I am mobile, and I
will tell you my QTH when I work you.
Hey, that just brings up a question, if I work a contest as a mobile, do I
have to stay with-in a 500 meter circle of my equipment, antennas, etc.
Well, as I see it, all antennas, equipment, etc move along with me, so I am
within the 500 meter circle rules, RIGHT? :-) :-)

technologies. When a "QSO" cannot take place
