Personally I am grateful that the callsign is in the middle of the  
exchange, at least for the CW Sweepstakes.  I'm fairly new to all of this,  
and my code speed isn't up to 40 wpm yet; I need a breather in the middle  
of the long exchange so I can catch up.  If people stop sending their  
calls in the middle of the exchange, I don't think that the CW Sweepstakes  
will attract participation from many newbies.  The CW Sweepstakes are  
tough enough with the long exchange and people not bothering to QRS to the  
other station's speed.
