LOL here's more audiophile craziness:
http://www.adventuresinhifiaudio.com/26/01/2018/audiophile-rocks-down-the-rabbit-hole-once-again/

A local high-end stereo shop, the kind with no prices visible on anything, has
these little wooden blocks under the speaker wires of their main demo system.
Why? I'm not sure. "to keep them off the ground" said the proprietor, when I
asked. And, these speaker wires are big manly things, about half an inch
around. I didn't check to see if the four feet of cord from the amp to the wall
outlet was also ridiculous, but I'm guessing it was as stout as my forearm.

I almost fell for some of this stuff, until I took some actual mixing and
mastering courses, learned some fundamentals, trained my ears etc.
