Some months ago I acquired several plate transformers, one of which is
an HT-41 transformer. I have looked an HT-41 manual and this certainly
looks identical to the transformer in the photo. The other reason I am
certain about the transformer is that it came in an old Peter Dahl
carton and had documentation on the Dahl replacement transformer for the
HT-41.
I just tested the transformer on the bench and, as closely as I can
determine with a resistor network and DVM, the voltage on the secondary
is just a bit over 4200 volts with 110VAC on the primary. That's
consistent with the plate voltage, with a full-wave rectifier, stated in
the HT-41 manual.
I have no idea whether this transformer would be of any value to someone
restoring an HT-41 and certainly don't know the value of the
transformer. Therefore, I would appreciate suggestions as to a
reasonable price for the transformer.
I believe this transformer will ship in a large flat-rate USPS carton so
shipping, if sold, should be around $15.00, plus insurance, in the lower 48.
Thanks,
