[Amps] LK-500 Are they really that good.

  Yesterday an LK 500 went for $810 on e-bay "after it had been stuck by 
lightning".  Band switch was fried and looked it.  The seller said it 
also needed a ceramic cap.   OTOH it was clean inside and looked like 
new outside in the photos.

I'd be hard pressed to put that much into a desktop pair of 3-500s let 
alone one that had been stuck by lightning.
