The bias supply needs to: be transformer-powered from the electric
mains be adjustable, and have less than the max Z specified by the tube
manufacturer (typically <100k-ohm).. In Class AB1, the bias supply is
adjusted so that the grid draws virtually zero grid current under 100%
of normal drive, so V-regulation is. not a factor. However, in Class
AB2, it would be because the grid draws current.
